Esther Ying YANG
Co-Founder & CEO, RLH China
Ms. Yang had over 20 years of capital market trading/investing/hedging/risk management experience on Wall Street. Over the years, Ms. Yang accumulated extensive experiences in many parts of the derivatives market, interest rates (US or foreign), FX, Equity, commodity, both exchange-traded and Over-the-Counter traded. She also helped clients with designing multiple products on embedded derivatives, developed economic scenarios for valuing Guarantee Minimum Benefit in life annuity products, and risk management (hedging) strategies. Ms. Yang holds a B.S. in Biology from Peking University, and a Master's degree in Actuarial Science and Financial Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a CFA charter holder.

Connie Wong has over 20 years of working experience including credit ratings analysis, insurance risk assessment, reinsurance underwriting and reinsurance broking. In her last position, Connie was a managing director at the Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services overseeing rating analytics for the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to Standard & Poor’s, Ms Wong worked in the reinsurance industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Investment and Financial Risk Management from City University Cass Business School in London; and a Master’s degree in Global Finance from Stern Business School of New York University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
John Jiong MA, Ph.D.

Dr. John Ma has over 20 years of experiences in research, investment and management in the Hi-tech fields spanning biotech, IT, climate change and renewable energy. He was a Senior Partner at MSQ Ventures; Director of Investment at CL Investment Group (New York), and Chief Information Officer for CL Biomedical Technology (Shenzhen); President of North America, China Merchants New Energy Group; Pengcheng Scholar Professor and Founding Vice Dean, School of Environment and Energy, Peking University Shenzhen. He also held senior research positions at universities and research institutes in the US. He holds a B.S. from Peking University, M.S. from Rutgers University, and Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University.
Director of Sovereign Risk
An independent economist and published author of several books, Mr. Ogawa had been Director of Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services’ Sovereign and International Public Finance Ratings team for 16 years, until March 2015. Before that, he was the Chief Economist and Head of the Emerging Market Research Team of Nikko Research Center. In addition, he served as Advisor to Chairman, Japan-ASEAN Co-operation Committee, Association of Japan Corporate Executives (KEIZAI DOYU KAI), from 1988 to 1991. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan.
Tao GUO, FSA

Fellow of Society of Actuaries and previously relocated from US to Singapore by Mercer Investments. Professional experience includes actuarial consulting in property and casualty, life and health, as well as pension industry. Additionally worked as a Senior Investment Consultant for institutions: pension funds, private banks, insurance companies, and government agencies, in the areas of asset allocations, strategic investment, such as equities, fixed income, private equities, etc. Co-founded a fintech start up in Singapore specializing in alternative risk transfer, e.g. currently advising an issuance of catastrophe bond by an Asian sponsor.
Jing Rong GOH, Ph.D.
Director of AI/Data Science
Jing Rong is an expert in data science. He is well-versed in utilizing state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to generate out-of-the-box solutions for clients. Jing Rong worked with clients ranging from start-ups and listed companies to government agencies and universities. He received both his Bachelor’s and Ph.D. at Nanyang Technological University. He was the Valedictorian at his university, and the fastest Ph.D. graduate in the history of the program. He was named a Leader of Tomorrow by the St Gallen Symposium. He is a co-founder at Anapi. He is also an adjunct faculty at Singapore Management University and Nanyang Technological University.

Shaun Shuxun Wang, Ph.D.

Dr. Shaun Wang is Chair Professor of Finance at SUSTech. His previous posts include Director of the Insurance Risk and Finance Research Centre at Nanyang Technological University, Deputy Secretary General of The Geneva Association, Research Director at SCOR Reinsurance, and Thomas P. Bowles Chair Professor at Georgia State University’s Robinson School of Business. His research received several international awards, including the invention of Wang Transform for pricing catastrophe insurance. He has a Ph.D. in Statistics from University of Waterloo, B.Sc from Peking University. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst.
Former CEO / Managing Director of SCOR Reinsurance Asia-Pacific (both Life and Property-Casualty companies), Singapore (2003-2017). Former Head of Group Risk Management Department, SCOR, Paris, France (2001-2003). Over 35 years of insurance industry experience, including catastrophe insurance for the Asia-Pacific region. Advisory Board Member of Insurance Risk and Finance Research Centre (IRFRC), Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University (2011-2017). Lead Consultant of the Industry Team for the MAS-NTU Cyber Risk Management Project (CyRiM) in 2019. M.Sc. Structural Engineering, Univ. of Manchester, UK. MBA, Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Chief Risk Officer at Midland States Bancorp, Inc., Mr. Stewart has extensive experience providing enterprise risk management and corporate governance for the financial services sector. He has successfully designed and rolled out risk-based management programs at several financial institutions. He led expert teams in laying down foundation for corporate strategy and governance in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
